Bottle Cap Mosaic Jar

Bottle Cap Mosaic Jar

Apply tile adhesive to large olive jar. Then add bottle caps and let dry for 24hrs. When dry, apply sanded grout in areas around bottle caps. Let dry another 24hrs. I sealed my jar with Clear Acrylic Spray. It keeps the sand from getting everywhere and shines up those caps. And done. Easy easy. (98 caps)

The only thing I would have done differently is use painters tape on the rim and bottom of jar while working with grout. It got a little messy. That was my second jar. The first jar is not nearly as appealing. Here it is (120+ caps):

We use these as tip jars at work but I guess they could be coin holders or large flower vases just the same.
